“God will always look for someone who has a perfect heart toward Him, not necessarily someone who has a perfect performance before Him. When the Lord has the heart, He can always change the behavior.” Joyce Meyer, Me and My Big Mouth, p. 141.
Thought for today: At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:3-7 (NIV)
Thought for tomorrow: If you only have time to do one thing today, do this one thing: Believe in the one He has sent. Then, do the next right thing. I ask myself this question as I go through the day, “If all that God says is true, what’s my next right step?” The day pretty much takes care of itself after that.
