Recommended reading: Isaiah 46, 53, 54
Five days before the holiday season. Who has time to read a daily devotional? Take a few minutes and read the passages in Isaiah. Notice how years and years and years before Christ was physically born to Mary, God had a plan. He knew what was coming.
This principle is true in our lives too.
Thought for today: Jesus said, “Go home to your family and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” Mark 5:19 (NIV)
Thought for tomorrow: The fortunate among us will be spending a portion of this holy season with our family members. Even if we can’t share a feast, we can make our phone services happy by calling home. My prayer is that conversations will be sprinkled with the light of God’s love—as expressed in our conversations about what the Lord has done for us. Now, go wrap those gifts!
