What is God's will for me?

One of the most common questions I get as a pastor is, “What is God’s will for _______.”  That blank can be filled in with anything.  A relationship with a loved one. A job.  A house.  People want to know how to pursue God’s will in life but we all feel desperately inadequate at discerning what that will is.

On Monday nights in June, Scott will lead a series of conversations that will guide us in how to think about discerning God’s will for our lives.  6:30 pm at NSC.  For those of you coming from work, there will be snacks available.  Show up a little early if you want to eat, chat, and hang out a bit.

May 2nd: Live Wires

On May 2nd at 6pm we'll host our monthly Live Wires.  This is a meeting for kids where we encourage them to share about their lives and try to teach them some faith and recovery skills.

In May, we'll be watching the movie Inside-Out.  Normally we ask the parents to drop off the kids so that the kids can have a safe environment to share thing they might not want to share with their parents.  But, in May, we are encouraging parents to attend to watch this movie.  Going forward, we'll use this movie as a foundation for conversations about self-awareness and emotions during difficult times.
